Affordable in-ear monitors?

I have been on the hunt for several years for in-ear monitors that work well for wind and brass players. The issue many wind and brass players (or anyone) has when our ears are “sealed” by in ear monitors, is that it negatively distorts how we hear our own sound, articulation, etc.. Part of my regular freelance work is a commercial gig that uses click track for time keeping and cues. I have literally played hundreds of services with click track, experimenting with various options for in-ear monitors. I’ve tried over the ear headphones of various sizes and styles and expensive in-ear monitors from all the industry brands.

For the last four or five years, have been using the Panasonic RP-HS16-K In-Ear Earbud Headphones. These ear buds do not seal the ear opening and allow players to hear the natural ambient sound around them while providing clear audio for click track, cues, etc.. They have comfortable ear hinges to keep the ear bud from falling out and allow the user to adjust the placement of the ear bud. They even come in multiple colors. I find these very versatile and comfortable to wear for two to three hours. They have great sound and a frequency response 20Hz - 20kHz. I am not sponsored by Panasonic and am not selling this product, I just think they work great. Did I mention that you can find them online for as little as $15? You should give them a try!
